Absentee Voting

Did You Know?

Once you’ve voted your absentee ballot and signed the outside envelope, the sealed ballot can be mailed or hand-delivered to the Elections Main Office or to any Cobb County Advance Voting location. The voted ballot can also be mailed or hand-delivered by the voter’s mother, father, grandparent, aunt, uncle, brother, sister, spouse, son, daughter, niece, nephew, grandchild, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, or an individual residing in the voter’s household. If the voter is disabled, the ballot can also be mailed or hand-delivered by the voter’s caregiver, regardless of whether the caregiver resides in the disabled voter’s household. The ballot must be received in the Elections Main Office by 7pm on Election day. A voted absentee ballot cannot be accepted at an Election Day polling place; however, a voter can surrender the ballot at the poll and vote in-person instead.
