The mission of the Cobb County Animal Services Unit is to enforce state laws and county ordinances pertaining to animal control and management; educate the community on responsible pet ownership, wildlife care; and provide housing and care for homeless animals, while coordinating their adoptions when possible.

General waste disposal is managed at the Advanced Disposal Services (ADS) Transfer Station. Garbage collection in unincorporated Cobb is managed by private companies, and cities offer their own collection services.
The Water System as an agency of Cobb County Government is a utility operation. We partner with our wholesale provider, the Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority, in distributing clean, safe water. In addition, we are responsible for wastewater collection and treatment and stormwater management for our customers.
