Water System Fire Flow Test

If you are required to have a Fire Flow Test prior to development plan approval, please follow the procedures as listed below (NOTE: CCWS can only test fire hydrants on public r.o.w. within its jurisdiction):

Submit the attached application with all applicable data to the Cobb County Water System, Engineering & Records Division along with:

  1. An 8½" X 11" location map that clearly shows the site location. (Aero Atlas quality or go to Cobb County GIS Homepage).
  2. A check for $100.00 made payable to the:
    Cobb County Water System
660 South Cobb Dr. Marietta, GA 30060.

It may take up to three (3) weeks to complete the Fire Flow Test, depending on weather and other factors. A Fire Flow test is required for all projects. Copies of the Fire Flow Test must be shown on the plans. The test cannot be over 6 months old.

The 24-hour clock will not be provided by Cobb County. The Design Engineer will be responsible for providing a 24-hour pressure recording if/when required by the Fire Department.

Construction plans cannot be approved without the Fire Flow Test results being on the water plans. Please consider this when preparing your development schedule.
