Cobb County Senior Services is thrilled to announce that Austell Senior Center has been awarded the Outstanding Partnership Award by WellStar Health System's Community Health and Center for Health Equity. This prestigious recognition honors our commitment to improving food insecurity and enhancing the health and well-being of the community.

The award stems from a partnership with WellStar and Goodr in the Mobile Market program. Through this collaboration, the center established five pop-up markets, providing over 500 residents with free access to a diverse range of essential groceries. Fresh produce, shelf-stable meals, meat, eggs, bread, milk, and juice were just some of the nutritious items offered, ensuring families in need could stock their pantries with wholesome food.
