In observance of World Mental Health Day, the Accessibility Service Department will be hosting a Youth Mental Health Panel featuring three members of NAMI Cobb on Saturday, October 8 at 1 pm at Switzer Library. The panel will discuss the early warning signs and symptoms of mental illness in young children.

After the panel discussion all those in attendance will have the opportunity to ask the panelists questions regarding the resources and services NAMI Cobb provides as well as any other questions they may have in regards to mental health.

World Mental Health Day was created on October 10, 1992. The objective of World Mental Health Day is to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world and to mobilize efforts in support of mental health.

Founded in 1984, NAMI Cobb’s mission is to provide access to free mental health resources and to offer education, programs, support, and advocacy for individuals living with a mental health condition, their families, caregivers, and friends as well as the local communities in Cobb County.
