Professional Background
Vic Reynolds was appointed by Governor Brian Kemp as a Superior Court Judge in the Cobb Judicial Circuit on August 15, 2022. He is the former Director of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, serving from 2019 until his appointment to the bench. At the GBI, he oversaw approximately 1,000 employees.
Vic is the former District Attorney of Cobb County, having been elected twice in 2012 and 2016. He was a partner in the law firm of Berry and Reynolds before serving as
District Attorney and he previously served as the Cobb Chief Magistrate Judge. Vic began his career as a police office in his hometown of Rome, Ga.
Vic is married to his wife, Holly, and they have two grown daughters. They reside in Marietta with their lab, TJ. Vic has been involved in numerous civic and professional organizations and he has been published in many local, state, and national publications. He is the co-author of Georgia Objections at Trial. Vic and Holly belong to the Marietta First United Methodist Church.
