Cobb DOT Holds Inclement Weather Drill
Cobb DOT crews hit the road today for an inclement weather drill. Crews drove the routes they will take to treat major roadways in the county during a storm event. These drills are essential to make sure drivers are familiar with the routes and that vehicles and equipment are in good working condition in case of an actual storm event.
Cobb DOT’s inclement weather response plan includes two teams of 11 spreader truck drivers, 11 “chase” truck drivers, and multiple support and supervisory staff working alternating 12-hour shifts during a winter storm event.
