Important Notice Regarding Cobb County PARKS facilities

Cobb County Government has been actively monitoring the spread of COVID-19 and the impact of the epidemic in the communities we serve. We are implementing proactive measures at Cobb County PARKS facilities to limit exposure and maintain a safe environment, including additional deep cleaning and sanitization measures, cancelling large events, and increasing communications efforts to keep our residents informed and up-to-date.

These closures/cancellations are effective beginning Monday, March 16, 2020 and will remain closed until further notice.

Out of an abundance of caution, we are cancelling all classes, programs and general admission at the following facilities:

  • Central Aquatic Center
  • South Cobb Aquatic Center
  • West Cobb Aquatic Center 
  • Mountain View Aquatic Center
  • South Cobb Recreation Center
  • Cobb Gymnastic Center
  • Fair Oaks Recreation Center
  • Ward Recreation Center
  • Ron Anderson Recreation Center
  • South Cobb Recreation Center
  • Fullers Recreation Center
  • The Art Station-Big Shanty 
  • Mable House Arts Center 
  • The Art Place-Mountain View 
  • Sewell Mill Cultural Center 
  • Harrison Tennis Center
  • Lost Mountain Tennis Center
  • Fair Oaks Tennis Center
  • Terrell Mill Tennis Center
  • Sweetwater Tennis Center
  • Kennworth Tennis Center

Rentals at the following facilities are still being honored however, renters are being strongly encouraged to reschedule or cancel their event:

  • South Cobb Community Center 
  • Northeast Cobb Community Center 
  • Windy Hill Community Center 
  • Thompson Community Center 
  • Cobb Civic Center
  • Jennie T. Anderson Theater
  • Jim R. Miller Park Event Center
  • Mable House Barnes Amphitheater

These closures/cancellations are effective beginning Monday, March 16, 2020 and will remain closed until further notice.
