Beginning July 1, 2019, IngenioRx will manage Anthem’s prescription plan. A letter from Anthem outlining the change will be mailed to members the week of May 6.
What does this mean for me?
You get help whenever you need it, with 24/7 customer service, powerful online tools that you can use at home or on the go, and access to your health and drug plans in one place. Visit anthem.com for more information.
Is there anything I need to do for the changeover?
You’ll want to be sure your pharmacy has your most recent Anthem ID card information on file. If you use Home Delivery (aka Mail Order) or take a specialty drug, please verify that your information is up-to-date by visiting anthem.com.
Will I receive another ID card for IngenioRx?
No, you will continue to use your current Anthem ID card to obtain your prescriptions.
I have home delivery prescriptions. Will they transfer to IngenioRx?
IngenioRx Home Delivery Pharmacy will be your new home delivery pharmacy. If it’s time to refill your medication, go to anthem.com (select Pharmacy) or call Pharmacy Member Services at 1-833-267-2133. All of your prescriptions and prior authorizations will automatically transfer except for controlled substances and prescriptions that are expired or have no refills. For these items, have your doctor send new prescriptions to the IngenioRx Home Delivery Pharmacy.
Will the prescriptions I receive through my local pharmacy transfer to IngenioRx?
If refills remain on your retail prescriptions, they will automatically transfer to IngenioRx, along with any valid prior authorizations.
Will my copays stay the same?
Yes, the plan copays will remain the same for retail and mail order prescriptions.
How will the change affect specialty drugs?
Your specialty drugs that are managed through Accredo will move to IngenioRx. A member of the IngenioRx Specialty Pharmacy care team will call you to go over your care plan and answer your questions. They will help make the move easy. Your prescriptions and prior authorizations will automatically transfer, and if there are any issues, the care team will work with your doctor to ensure a smooth transition. If you miss this call or would like to call the care team yourself, you can reach them at 1-833‐255‐0645.
Who should I contact if I have questions?
You can call Pharmacy Member Services at 1-833-267-2133 with questions you have about the change or your medications. Members can also visit anthem.com.
