Marietta, GA – Cobb Solicitor General, Makia Metzger, and members of her office team, joined nearly 100 people in the 2024 Cobb Walk a Mile in Her Shoes march on Saturday, April 20th at Swift-Cantrell Park in Kennesaw to raise awareness about domestic violence, rape and sexual assault. 

“We are dedicated to serving the families of Cobb County through diligent prosecution and advocacy for the “VICTORS,” not victims, of domestic violence,” Solicitor General Metzger said. “It’s extremely important for us to participate because this fundraising event will help victims as they find a pathway back to safety and as prosecutors, we have a moral duty to be partners.”

Proceeds from the event will go to the Cobb Family Advocacy Center, which provides services to victims of abuse through the collaboration of community partners in a central location.  Organizers of the event include The Cobb Domestic Violence Taskforce, the Kennesaw Public Safety Foundation, and the Kennesaw Police Department.
