Cobb County Government Holiday Charity Drives

  • 🎁Senior Services for adults 55+. If you'd like to donate to, or sponsor Santa’s Elves for Seniors, contact Andrea Rapowitz at Andrea.rapowitz@cobbcounty.org. Monetary donations via cash or credit card are also welcomed to help support our program.
  • 🎁Commissioner Sheffield’s MUST-Have Holiday Cheer Drive to bring joy and support to families in South Cobb. Donate new toys by Dec. 9 at the following locations:
    • The David Hankerson Building – 100 Cherokee Street, Marietta
    • South Cobb Recreation Center – 875 Six Flags Drive, Austell

  • 🎁Cobb Police SWAT Santa Toy Drive – spread holiday cheer and help make this season magical for children in families facing financial hardships. Donate new, unwrapped toys and let SWAT Santa deliver smiles and joy this season. Accepting donations through Dec. 16 at the Cobb Police Headquarters, Cobb County Public Safety Training Center or any Cobb Police Precinct.   • 🎁Toys for Tots has collection boxes for new, unwrapped toys at all Cobb Tax offices through Dec. 19. Office locations: https://cobbtax.org/locations/index.php#app2.
  • 🧥 Cobb Solicitor General’s Office is collaborating with non-profit The Haven of Help, Inc. for a winter coat drive. Please bring new and/or gently used coats to 5th floor, 10 E. Park Square, Marietta before Dec. 23.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 9

Keep track of your pets through the free Cobb Animal Services Microchip Clinic. Make an appointment for your pet to be chipped 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, by emailing jessica.darrough@cobbcounty.org. Microchipping your dogs, cats, and birds is essential for their safety and increases the chances of being reunited if they ever go missing or are stolen. Once confirmed, your appointment will be at 1060 Al Bishop Drive, Marietta.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 10

Cobb County Purchasing Department staff will host a How to Do Business with Cobb County Government webinar at noon, Tuesday, Dec. 10. This free informational series features a single Cobb County department sharing details about the department, current/future procurement needs and specific points of contact. The December webinar will highlight the Cobb County Water System and business opportunities for bid.

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 11

Pedal along with Cobb mountain bikers -- it's mountain bike night. Take a night ride followed by a hot dog roast 5 - 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11 at Allatoona Creek Park, 5690 Old Stilesboro Road, Acworth. There will be more rides Jan. 8 and Feb. 12. All ages. Adult Red Ball Tennis Program - Free tennis class for absolute beginners. Fun, engaging, low-pressure environment to learn and improve. Receive a free racquet. For adults 18 and older.  Sessions to choose from:

Nashville Noel: A Country Christmas Spectacular - 3 p.m. at the Jennie T. Anderson Theatre, 548 South Marietta Parkway SE, Marietta.(next to the Cobb Civic Center). Nashville Noel: A Country Christmas Spectacular is an all-ages extravaganza that showcases the best of country music and the joy of the holiday season 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, at the Jennie T. Anderson Theatre in Marietta. The show will feature a talented cast of southern musicians, singers, and dancers delivering a high-energy performance that captures the essence of Nashville's musical heritage and the yuletide spirit.

Noon Year's Eve at Vining Library - 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 31 - 5! 4! 3! 2! 1!  Happy Birthday to a New Year!  Join us to celebrate another new year with party games, a balloon drop at “12”, a dance party, and more at the Vinings Library 4290 Paces Ferry Road, Atlanta.

The Battery Atlanta will ring in 2025 at Early Innings, an early countdown for families at 6 p.m. concluding with a baseball drop at 8 p.m. and includes a performance by GRAMMY nominee Justin Roberts.

  Late Innings,  traditional late-night festivities will include entertainment by A-Town-A-List and includes fireworks.
