Domestic Violence Awareness Month

"We along with Cobb citizens marched around the Square showing our solidarity for victims of domestic violence.  We shared sobering statistics and had a solemn moment of silence in honor of those who have died at the hand of their abusers as well as those who still suffer in silence.  We will continue to advocate and protect victims to the best of our abilities."

Cobb County Solicitor General's Office donated almost 100 pairs of shoes to victims of domestic violence at our local shelter.  Thanks to our partner LiveSafe for leading the way here in Cobb by assisting victims of domestic violence!

1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have experienced intimate partner violence.  These shoes are made for walking out of the shadows and away from the abuser toward hope and a better future!

We are building Team Cobb SG as prosecutors who are fair, tough and good stewards of our county. We are building healthy communities and seeking justice but we have much work to do!

Please consider giving your time and talent to make Cobb exceptional by volunteering for something.

Hello Stream Cleaners!

I wanted to be sure to say a huge THANK YOU to each of you for spending your Saturday morning with us helping to clean up Sewell Mill Creek at East Cobb Park.  Together we cleaned almost a mile stretch and pulled out over 500 pounds of solid waste from the stream and its banks!  Each of you played a vital role and a special thank you to those of you who helped load the bags and other debris and took it all to the dumpster in the park.  That was indeed a messy job!  I also want to give a shout out and special thank you to Makia Metzger, our Cobb County Solicitor General, for coming to help and bringing a whole team of her staff as well!
