Cobb County offices and courts to reopen on Wednesday, Jan. 17

Cobb County government will reopen Wednesday following Tuesday’s weather delay. This means government offices, courts, government centers, libraries, parks facilities, and other county services will operate on a normal schedule.

Cobb County is under a Wind Chill Advisory for Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning. Cobb DOT has crews available to respond to reports of black ice. They have pretreated bridges and major thoroughfares.

Winter Weather Advisory warns of potentially hazardous travel conditions

January 15, 2024 - Due to the Winter Weather Advisory and the potential for dangerous travel conditions, Cobb County government offices and courts will be CLOSED on Tuesday, January 16.

Cobb DOT crews will monitor road conditions early in the morning and treat bridges, overpasses, and known trouble spots.

The Board of Commissioners Comp Plan Meeting scheduled for Tuesday will be rescheduled.

State Court traffic cases will be rescheduled and notification with a new court date will be mailed to the address on file. Parties with questions should call the office Wednesday at 770-528-2660
