Open spaces fading into wooded acres make up this 300 + acre park.  The property contains two previous residences which will be available for classes, meetings, and gatherings.  Trails will be available to enjoy walking and horseback riding.  An equestrian show ring, trailer parking, and restrooms will also be available for horse enthusiasts.  The park is expected to be open by the end of 2023.

October 2023 - Update

Construction of Phase l of the master plan buildout of the Violet F. Stout Park is well underway.  The park is located at 5315 Brownsville Road, Powder Springs and is planned to be Cobb County PARKS’ equestrian facility.  The park is a little over 300 acres with Sweetwater Creek running through a portion of the property.  Elements of the Phase l project include deceleration and turn lanes on Brownsville Road and widening of the park entrance to safely accommodate horse trailers.   A crossing signal and path at Brownsville Road for both horses and pedestrians, vehicular and pull-through horse trailer parking, a show ring and restrooms are also included.  The park is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.
