This is Connor Green.

On February 8, 2018, Cobb County Fire & Emergency Services Engine 13, Rescue 24, and Metro Atlanta Ambulance were dispatched to his house because his mother, Christina, was having a severe asthma attack.

Connor called 911 and was able to remain calm and give the 911 call taker (Emergency Communications Operations Karnia Lake) all the necessary information. He followed all of Karnia's commands and attempted to keep his mother calm.

(This was Karnia's first solo call as a 911 call-taker in training.)

Upon Cobb Fire's arrival, Christina was unresponsive on the floor with her rescue inhaler by her side. A few minutes after the firefighters began treating her she went into cardiac arrest and they started cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

As soon as Metro Atlanta Ambulance and Rescue 24 arrived, the paramedics initiated Advanced Life Support protocols and Christina regained a pulse.

Not only is his mom proud of Connor, but so are Cobb Fire and the Boy Scouts of America.

Cobb County Fire Chief Randy Crider presented Connor with The Citizen Lifesaver Award.

And there's no telling what his mother will get him for his birthday!
