Instructor Ed Buckner Introduction to world numismatics (coin collecting), including US coins. No coins will be bought or sold, though buying/selling may be discussed. Questions answered if possible. Students should be from 10 years old up to adults; anyone can take the class (all 4 classes or only one if you want) for FREE. Classes will be held in the programming room at Vinings Library. 

Class 1: Introduction: why collect, where to get free coins, how to handle coins.

Class 2: Collecting themes, grading, coin metals, and collecting ideas.

Class 3: US Coins (the US is part of the world).

Class 4: Books on coins, where to learn more, where to buy and sell coins.

 Ed Buckner was the former president of the Marietta-Smyrna Coin Club.

For Adults and Children (10 & Up)

Registration is required (Max 25).
