Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention

Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention is an enjoyable, evidence-based program offered in partnership with the Atlanta Regional Commission that incorporates classes twice a week for 8 weeks, along with home practice. It helps to improve muscular strength, flexibility, balance, and stamina.

In the class you will learn:

                    • To view falls and fear of falling as controllable

                    • 1-2 movements per lesson, progressively leading to completing 6 basic core movements & more

                    • breathing techniques that connect your mind + body

                    • Tai Chi principles including those relating to improving physical and mental balance

Intended for ages 18+  and will be held in person at the Mountain View Regional Library.

Space is limited, and registration is required.  To get the most out of this program, attendance at all sessions is strongly recommended. Please register below.

Please note: Tai Chi will meet Tuesdays and Fridays from April 23 - June 14. Tai Chi will meet on Thursday, May 16 instead of Friday, May 17.

Tai Chi will meet on the following dates: April 23, April 26, April 30, May 3, May 7, May 10, May 14, May 16, May 21, May 24, May 28, May 31, June 4, June 7, June 11, June 14.
