Coding with Karel Classes for Grades 4-8

Thursday, 3/28/2024 - Thursday, 3/28/2024
04:30pm - 05:30pm

Does your student want to learn how to code? Students in grades 4-8 can learn with Senior Java Developer and Computer Science Instructor, Austin Poole, in a series of four, free coding classes for tweens and teens at the Mountain View Regional Library. Building on their programming skills each week, students will participate in hands-on Karel Language coding activities - an introduction to learning coding language developed by Rich Pattis.

Learning how to code takes time, so to get the most out of this learning opportunity, students must be committed to attending all four coding class sessions for the best possible learning outcome.

Thursdays in March: Doors open at 4:30 pm, class from 4:45 pm - 5:30 pm with pick up no later than 5:45 pm.

  • March 7th
  • March 14th
  • March 21st
  • March 28th

Intended for Tweens/Teens, Grades 4-8

Space is very limited and registration is required for the entire series. Once registered, we ask that you are committed to attending all 4 sessions. Please register at the link below.
