Vinings Library
History
Vinings Library was opened in 1990 to serve southeast Cobb County. The library is located in the Vinings community, an area known as "The Platinum Triangle" near the I-75 I-285 interchange. This area contains many corporate offices and its residential is a mixture of houses, condos, and apartments.
The library serves a devoted community and receives much support. Although it sits adjacent to the city, Vinings has a neighborhood library feel and many of its patrons visit weekly or even more frequently. It is a popular meeting and gathering space for young children and their parents and caregivers, and many local students visit the library after school to check out books, attend a program, or do homework.
