Glass Recycling

Image
Green Glass Bottles for Recycling

Glass bottles and jars are 100% recyclable and can be recycled endlessly without any loss in purity or quality.  1 ton of carbon dioxide is reduced for every 6 tons of recycled container glass used in the manufacturing process.

"Other" glass products such as table tops, window panes, headlights, light bulbs, ovenware, drinking glasses, crystal, Pyrex, etc., are to be taken to Advanced Disposal Transfer Station since this "other" type of glass is manufactured differently and cannot be mixed due to the additives in the glass, which will contaminate a whole load of recyclable glass.

Keep Cobb Beautiful has partnered with WestRock Recycling as well as other affiliates in the surrounding area.  Below is a list of glass recycling drop-off locations that are open to the public.

The rule of thumb: If it is a container with a cap, it is a recyclable glass.
