Shelter arrival date:  02/26/24

Name: Snickers
Gender: Spayed Female
Age:   8yrs:
Size/Weight: 48lbs

ID#: 653912

Medical info: Heartworm negative

Eligible for Rescue:  Now!

Sponsorship: $610

Specifics: Sweet Snickers was surrendered to CCAS on 2/26 because her owner had a hard time keeping her home in the yard. Snickers is an older lady, at least 8yrs old and weighs 48lbs. She has flea allergies and dental disease. On April 5th our veterinarian determined that she had developed a nasty uterine infection called pyometra. Normally our vet would not feel comfortable operating on a pet Snickers’ age, but because Snickers is so sweet, calm, easy to treat, and handle Doc made a super special (and rare) exception. Some extra resources were spent and the vet staff did everything they could to minimize the risk. Snickers was spayed and came through with flying colors. She is a lucky girl and a staff favorite. Snickers is healing well and we would love for her to have a soft place to land and start living the good life. Snickers knows how to sit, shake, other paw, and down when asked. She is heartworm negative. Please come meet her!
