Cobb County, Georgia offers a range of options for outdoor exploration and cultural enrichment. With or without an adventure pass from Cobb County Public Library, you have access to some exciting adventures around Cobb.

Smith-Gilbert Gardens

Smith-Gilbert Gardens located in Kennesaw offer a beautiful and serene environment, perfect for a leisurely stroll. Enjoy the diverse collection of plants, including stunning rose gardens, a bonsai exhibit, and various themed gardens. Don't miss the sculpture garden featuring unique artwork amidst the greenery.

Marietta Cobb Museum of Art

Marietta Cobb Museum of Art hosts rotating exhibitions that feature a diverse range of artistic styles, mediums, and subjects. Visitors can expect to see paintings, sculptures, drawings, photography, and more, highlighting the creativity and talent of artists from the region and beyond.

Marietta History Center

Marietta History Center celebrates the rich history and heritage of Marietta and Cobb County. It covers a wide range of topics, including the city's founding, its role in the Civil War, local industry and commerce, and notable figures from the area.

VISIT A PARK

Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park

Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park  historic site offers more than 22 miles of hiking trails, including the path that leads to the top of Kennesaw Mountain, providing panoramic views of the surrounding landscape including a view of Atlanta’s skyline in clear weather. Along the way, you'll encounter various interpretive markers and exhibits detailing the significance of the area during the Civil War.

Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites

While there are not any State Parks in Cobb County, you can get access to the Library’s Park Pass Kit which includes a pass for free parking to more than 60 State Parks and a pass for free admission for up to 2 visitors to any Georgia Department of Natural Resources Historic Site. In addition to the kit, be sure to checkout the Discovery Backpack which includes binoculars and guides on Trees, Wildlife, and Wildflowers.
