Privet Pulls

Privet Pulls are a fun and easy way for community members to participate in a service project without making an ongoing commitment. Organized throughout the year, these projects rotate across the county and allow those seeking volunteer service to give a couple hours of time helping with remove a non-native invasive species (an organism that is not native to an ecosystem, reproduces quickly and spreads aggressively, and causes harm) while learning about watersheds and pollution prevention.

You can also help restore habitat and native plant species in your area by organizing a privet pull for your neighborhood. The Cobb County Water System will support the event, provide information about identifying privet and how to remove it, and supply tools and gloves. Complete a Privet Pull Project Proposal to request assistance.
