Cobb County Water System has an active volunteer base. In 2022-2023, 50 groups actively monitored 80 local stream sites each month. In addition, we have garden volunteers who weekly assist with landscape maintenance and waterway cleanup, privet pull, and storm drain marking groups that work throughout the year.
During the 2022-2023 reporting year (June-May), our volunteers reported over 2,402 hours of service. The value of Cobb’s volunteer watershed stewards was estimated at $76,384.
