Lunch and Learn - A Series for Water Quality
These workshops were developed in response to common questions and concerns about various topics related to water quality, pollution prevention, and ecological issues. These workshops provide a brief overview (with a chance for questions and answers) for Cobb residents to better understand where our water comes from and how to protect this important resource.
Rain Gardens serve multiple purposes in the landscape. They help improve local water quality, provide wildlife habitat, and add interest and value to your yard. If you have a soggy, depressed area or an area where rainwater consistently flows across your property, consider working with nature to create a rain garden. We’ll visit Cobb County Water System’s demonstration site at the Water Quality Lab to learn what they are and how to set one up. Then, stick around after the program to participate in a state wide citizen science project to help save Georgia’s native pollinators!
All lectures are from 12:00 to 12:45 pm. Don't forget to bring your lunch!
