Riding Smart with CobbLinc
The safety of passengers and employees remains a priority, and appropriately, CobbLinc has continued implementing protocols to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Below is a list of our most recent efforts:
- The entire CobbLinc fleet has been supplied with face masks and hand sanitizer.
- Driver barriers were installed on fixed-route buses. Installation of driver barriers on paratransit and commuter vehicles is anticipated in the coming months.
- Ride Smart Safety Kits were mailed to more than 1,300 users of paratransit service and active, registered users of the Transportation Voucher Program. Additional kits were provided to Senior Services staff for distribution to users of Senior Services Transportation. The kits include face masks, sanitizing wipes, gloves and an informational brochure.
- A video, Learn How to Ride Smart During COVID-19, was developed to inform riders of the safety precautions CobbLinc has put in place and how they can help further prevent the spread of viruses like COVID-19.
“Many of us still have to work and take care of business outside of our homes, so we want our passengers to be as safe as possible when they’re in our care,” said Andrea Foard, Cobb County Traffic Division Manager. “But to be successful, we also depend on the passengers to adopt healthy habits. We are providing the tools to ensure they can.”
CobbLinc’s commuter routes and Circulator routes continue to operate on an adjusted schedule. In-person services for some programs and transactions are available by appointment only. For more information on current service and schedules, visit cobblinc.com and click on “Service Announcements.”
