Payment Methods

Payment for each class is due in full at the time of registration, and may be made with cash, check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Classes may not be taken on a pay as you go basis. Class payments by check or money order should be made payable to Cobb Senior Services.

All class and supply fees must be paid at the time of registration. 

Withdrawal and Refund Policy

Registration fees are 100% refundable when the department cancels the activity. Those wishing to withdraw from a class that has not been cancelled by the department must provide a request at least seven days before the scheduled start of the class. They may receive 100% credit to the family's account or may request a refund. Within the week prior to the scheduled start of a class refund/credits will not be given except for verified medical/hardship cases. Refunds for payment made by cash or check will be received approximately 2-4 weeks after the refund is requested.

The class focuses on muscle strength, cardio endurance, balance and flexibility for beginners. Weights, resistance bands and exercise balls will be used to safely perform seated and standing exercises to get fit and have fun.  Please bring hand weights and resistance bands. 

Line Dance: Beginner FULL

Learn basic line dance steps using proper dance techniques. Dance to a wide variety of music from pop, rock and country. This class is for new students with no previous experience.

Join us for a new, fun, and innovative exercise program, which promotes general fitness, weight loss, and provides therapeutic benefits.  Smoveys are a pair of molded hollow rings and each contains 4 stainless steel balls. The movement of the stainless balls inside the rings creates vibrations. These vibrations will benefit your entire body and even stimulate both spheres of brain. You can also participate while seated if you have mobility limitations. Smovey puts health in your hands.

Oil Painting for Beginners

A series of workshops designed to learn painting with oils: fundamentals of materials, color mixing, basic painting application techniques, composition, and many more. The instructor will provide all supplies. We'll use water-based oil paints; no mineral solvents! $20 supply fee to instructor the first day of class.

Drums Alive: Golden Beats FULL

This class is designed to improve your cardiovascular fitness by using rhythmical drum patterns as they drive dynamic movements.  Additionally, it can help to improve hand/eye coordination, improve brain function and mental awareness, relieve stress and release endorphins.  Golden Beats can be done seated or standing and is appropriate for all levels.
