Monday Classes

Pottery Hand Building #11443

In this hand building pottery class, you will roll, wedge and glaze your own project ideas. Wear clothing you will not mind getting slightly dirty.  All levels welcome.

Beginner Tai Chi-Qigong #11304

Tai Chi emphasizes complete relaxation and is essentially a form of “meditation in motion”. Qigong (pronounced “chee-gung”) is the Chinese philosophy and practice of aligning breath, physical activity and awareness, for improved mental and physical health and increased energy. Suitable for all fitness levels.

Beginner Yoga #11302

Our beginner yoga approaches postures in gradual steps, with plenty of time to focus on breathing and repetition so that the practice is simple to do and easy to remember. This gentle yoga style meets students “where they are.” All fitness levels welcome. Please bring yoga mat to class.

Relax into Stillness #11309

Get fit and have fun to energetic music!  This class offers exercises for the upper and lower body designed to increase muscular strength, balance and range of movement transitions. Resistance bands and exercise balls provided; bring your own weights.  Recommended for all fitness levels. 

Zumba Gold with Izzy #11298

Precious Metals Clay Jewelry #11310

Precious metal clay is a crafting medium consisting of very small particles of silver, gold, bronze or copper mixed with an organic binder and water for use in making beads, jewelry and small sculptures which are then fired in a kiln. Supply fess paid to instructor.

Beaded Jewelry #11312

Learn the history, mechanics and joy of making your own jewelry.  You will learn how to design a piece of jewelry, choose complimentary color schemes and find out how different styles and sizes of beads work together. Students will complete a necklace, pair of earrings, bracelet, ring and 3-piece set.

Literature, Laughter, & Life #11313

In this class literary greats such as humorists David Ogden Nash, Damon Runyon, and the incomparable P. G. Wodehouse will be examined and discussed. But discussions will not be limited to humorists; we will also look at how literature and poetry from Shakespeare, Dickinson, Austin, Wilde and others effect our outlook on life and changes our perspective.

Urban Soul Line Dance #11308

Chair Pilates #11300

This class will provide a modified Pilates routine with support of a chair. Exercises focus on muscle control, breathing and strengthening the core to improve balance, flexibility, strength and posture. No floor work involved.

Low Impact Aerobics #11301

Low impact shouldn't be confused with low intensity; low-impact activity can still significantly raise heart rate and benefit cardiovascular and respiratory systems while minimizing the force on bones and joints Get a good work out with minimal impact.  Please bring a small towel to class.
