Register for Activities at Freeman Poole Senior Center

Registration for any Freeman Poole Senior Center activity is required.

Payment Methods

Payment for each class is due in full at the time of registration, and may be made with cash, check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Classes may not be taken on a pay as you go basis. Class payments by check or money order should be made payable to Cobb Senior Services.

 All class and supply fees must be paid at the time of registration.

Withdrawal and Refund Policy

Registration fees are 100% refundable when the department cancels the activity. Those wishing to withdraw from a class that has not been cancelled by the department must provide a request at least seven days before the scheduled start of the class. They may receive 100% credit to the family's account or may request a refund. Within the week prior to the scheduled start of a class refund/credits will not be given except for verified medical/hardship cases. Refunds for payment made by cash or check will be received approximately 2-4 weeks after the refund is requested.

Monday

Focus on Fitness

Low impact chair and floor exercises accompanied by music.  Keep joints moving, improve circulation, and increase cardio endurance! Therabands provided while supplies last.  Must bring your own mat and weights. 

Balance, Stretch and Flow

This fun and innovative class covers a variety of exercises designed to improve balance, cardio endurance and muscle tone. Class includes low-impact aerobics, balance, stretching, and flexibility ball and chair. Get fit and have fun to energetic music! Designed for all fitness levels. All supplies provided by instructor.

Qigong

Qigong, pronounced “chee-gung”, translates from Chinese to “energy cultivation”.  It is an ancient system of postures, exercises, breathing techniques and meditations designed to enhance the body’s qi, or life energy responsible for health and vitality.  Qigong can increase energy, reduce stress and aid in disease prevention and longevity.

Tai-Chi

Tai Chi is a Chinese martial art practiced for its defense training and health benefits.  In the west, Tai Chi has become popular for its health benefits.  Tai Chi’s low stress movement and coordinated breathing can improve balance control, flexibility, cardiovascular endurance and stress reduction.

Yoga Stretch with Guided Meditation

Learn the principles of yoga; basic poses and breathing techniques.  Sessions end with guided meditation led by instructor.  Floor mat required.
