Cobb Therapeutics is starting programs for school-age participants. Cobb PARKS is starting new therapeutic programming for individuals 21 and under. The Therapeutic Recreation unit provides recreational, leisure, and educational opportunities for persons with various disabilities. Our goals are to increase social skills; promote community awareness, and emotional and physical well-being; and for participants to learn new skills through structured activities. Up to this point programming has been offered only for adults, but we are now expanding the programming to include youth.

We would like your input to help us design a program to meet your needs. If you a have a child with special needs, please fill out this survey to let us know what programs we can offer to better serve you.

The first program for ages 6 - 12 is a party with Santa, 9 a.m. -  3:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 19. A $20 fee per person includes lunch, arts and crafts, a sing-along and a visit from Santa. Register here by Dec. 12.

Another new program for school-aged participants is a half-day music-driven program, 9 a.m. - noon, Jan. 4 for ages 14 - 21 at the Windy Hill Community Center. Discover new types of music, new instruments, sing a little karaoke and more. Register by Dec. 22.
