Nominated for the Americana/Bluegrass GA Music Award in 2016, 8th of January is a Georgia bluegrass band with a selection ranging from traditional to modern bluegrass music. Played with precision and soul, musical selections from Old Crow Medicine Show, Alan Jackson and Bob Dylan are few among their musical repertoire.
  • Pebblebrook High School presents Legally Blonde: The Musical
    8 p.m., Jan. 31 - Feb. 2; 3 p.m., Feb. 3; tickets: $20
Based on the hit movie, Legally Blonde: The Musical follows Elle Woods as she traverses the halls of Harvard. After her break up with boyfriend Warner, Elle sets out to win him back by attending Harvard Law School. While there, she experiences the ups and downs of student life but sets out to prove herself to the world. This fabulous and action packed musical will delight and enthrall with its memorable songs, charming characters and scandal.
  • Killer Queen: A Tribute to Freddie Mercury and Queen
    3 p.m., Sunday, May 5: tickets: $40
Killer Queen is the only tribute to have sold out the same arenas as Queen in its heyday. Patrick Myers and the band’s performances at Forest National and Ahoy were scale recreations of Queen’s epic performances. The band is also the longest established tribute to Queen. “No detail is overlooked. Killer Queen are kings of the musical impersonators, the highest of tributes,” Duncan Kennedy of BBC News wrote.
  • Michael Cavanaugh: A Night of Billy Joel
    8 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 10; tickets: $40
Michael Cavanaugh is the new voice of the American Rock and Roll Songbook and a charismatic performer and musician made famous for his piano/lead vocals in the Broadway musical "Movin’ Out." Handpicked by Billy Joel to star in the musical, Cavanaugh evokes a style rivaling the Piano Man. He appeared in the show for three years and more than 1,200 performances, receiving many accolades, culminating in 2003 with both Grammy and Tony award nominations.
