Open Call for Artists

Open Call for Gallery Exhibitions

Cobb  PARKS maintains four art centers strategically positioned across the county. Each center presents a dynamic program of rotating gallery exhibitions, typically displayed for 6-8 weeks. Opportunities to exhibit at these center's galleries are regularly announced through open calls, detailed below.

Artists interested in participating as vendors during special art events and programs or the Holiday Artisan Market, can find application information under the Special Events tab within the Arts section of the Cobb PARKS website. Additional opportunities for artists and vendors to participate in major PARKS events, including the Spring Arts Fest and International Fest, can be found HERE

Belonging: My Community

Celebrate Community at the new Milford Recreation Center

Cobb PARKS invites local artists and photographers to contribute to a lasting legacy at the grand opening of the new Milford Recreation Center. We are seeking original artwork that will be reproduced as high-resolution, large-format prints to become a permanent feature within the facility, enriching the space and reflecting the vibrant spirit of our community.

This is a unique opportunity to participate in a community-driven open call for artists centered around the theme "Belonging: My Community." We encourage artists to explore this theme through their unique perspectives, considering what makes our community special, the connections we share, and the places and experiences that foster a sense of belonging. Selected artists will also receive a feature in the Fall PARKS Activity Guide.

This application will close at March 28th at 11:59pm.

What We're Looking For:

  • Painting (oil, acrylic, watercolor, etc.)
  • Photography (digital or film)
  • Drawing (pencil, charcoal, pastel, etc.)
  • Mixed media
  • Digital art (no AI art)

  • Depicting local landmarks, events, or traditions
  • Portraying the diverse people and cultures that make up our community
  • Exploring the feeling of connection and shared identity
  • Highlighting the importance of community spaces and gatherings
  • Expressing personal interpretations of belonging
