Free family passes for Marietta History Center (MHC) are now offered at all Cobb County Public Library locations.

Located in the historic Kennesaw House in the Marietta Square area, the museum covers the lives of notable Marietta residents and visitors and a range of historical topics, including Native American culture, the Civil War years, development of aviation and other local major industries, railroads, technological change, education and schools, tragedies and positive milestones.

“We are so happy to add the MHC to our growing list of local and regional cultural institutions offering residents a chance to explore educational and recreational opportunities for free once a year,” Terri Tresp, Division Director of Branch Services. “Working with these partners aligns perfectly with our mission to provide life enriching library and cultural experiences to our users.”

Each Cobb County library has one pass available for checkout for up to six people to receive free admission to the history museum. The pass, which Cobb library cardholders can check out for one week and may be renewed for an additional week, is good for general admission only and is not valid for admission to special events or exhibits.

Regular hours for the MHC are 10 am to 4 pm Tuesday-Saturday. For information on the museum, visit
