November 23, 2021

Cobb County’s Declaration of Emergency concerning the COVID pandemic expired midnight November 16, 2021.

The mandate on mask wearing in Cobb County government facilities – including Cobb public libraries - was lifted as the declaration expired. This action did not impact the county’s courthouse complexes that still require masks under judicial order.

Temperature screenings in Cobb libraries have been discontinued. The screening equipment in libraries are inoperative.

Mask wearing is no longer required in county government buildings, including Cobb libraries.

Mask wearing is still highly encouraged in county government buildings for staff and visitors – especially when near others and for extended stays or when attending programs.
