Spring Break Camp-In: Day One

It’s Spring Break Time! The Hattie Gaines Wilson Youth Services Department of the Switzer Library has partnered with Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park for a “Spring Break Camp-In!” Each day, April 5-8, the library and the park will premiere new videos beginning at 12:00 pm.

The park rangers will teach us about how Civil War soldiers set up camp and some of the things they did around their campsites. The library staff will talk about ways you can camp inside or outside and some of the fun things you can do around your campsite.

Today’s library video features Mr. Stephen as he shows us how to build a reading fort inside. And what’s a reading fort without a story? Enjoy a read-aloud of the book, Night Animals, written and illustrated by Gianna Marino. Click here to put the book on hold in the library.
