Due to rising COVID-19 cases in the United States, the World Cube Association has requested that the library cancel the Cobb Cubes Comeback speedcubing competition scheduled for Saturday, July 31 at Switzer Library. In order to still provide a fun, safe event for our local community, we have decided to replace the competition with a socially distanced Cubing Hangout event. This will be an all-day, drop-in event where anyone can drop by the library's Community Room, learn about the Rubik's Cube, and share in the fun of speedcubing.

If you were registered for the competition or planned to attend and have questions about what this change means for you, please contact Raymond Goslow at [email protected]."

*****************************************

How long do you think it would take you to solve the Rubik's Cube? A day? A week? Even longer? Well, for the best of the best it only takes about seven seconds! This is your chance to come see some of the country's top speedcubers duke it out here at the library. Join us all day Saturday, July 31st at Switzer Library for heart-pounding competition, fun activities, and informational speedcubing resources.

If you like what you see, don't forget to check out our monthly Teen Cubing Hangout, beginning Wednesday, August 11th at Switzer Library!
