Mindful Arts @ Switzer Library

Join us for Switzer Library's upcoming Mindful Arts four-session series for adults led by Jim Beasley.  The techniques taught in this class are simple to learn and very effective in calming the mind and relaxing the body and promoting a sense of well-being for the practitioner.

Qigong is based on traditional Chinese medicine. It consists of gentle easy to learn movements that promote health and relaxation in the mind and body. 

The 4 sessions will cover: 5 Element Qigong, awareness and body scan, mindful stretching,  breath work, and creating space in your life for practice.  In addition participants will learn two series of breathing methods to relax the mind and body and promote peace of mind.

October 11, 18, 25  at 1:30pm - 2:30pm

November 1 at 12:00pm - 1:00pm

Jim Beasley has been training in the martial arts for over 30 years and teaching over 28 years. He has a  2nd degree black belt in Choi Kwang Do Martial Arts and  Kyudo Japanese archery. He is a black sash sifu in Floating Monk Qigong.
