Charlie Mae Henderson Griffin, Taylor Street, Acworth, Georgia, ca. 1940s

Discover a wealth of local and family history at your fingertips in The Historic Black Acworth Image Collection, the newest digital collection available from the KSU Archives.  This gem of local history includes photographs, letters, and documents created and preserved by Black residents of Acworth, Georgia from the 1890s to the 2010s.

Join us as the Kennesaw State University Museums, Archives and Rare Books Outreach Archivist, Helen Thomas and Special Projects Curator, James Newberry along with local historian and contributor to the Image Collection, Beverly Griffin Patton, discuss the project's origins and the collecting process, the process for developing a family collection as part of a larger archive, and accessing KSU's SOAR image archive collection.

Please note: this is a virtual event and not being held at a physical location.
