Eclipse Viewing Party

Monday, 4/08/2024 - Monday, 4/08/2024
01:45pm - 03:30pm

A solar eclipse happens when the Moon moves between Earth and the Sun. When this happens, the Moon gradually blocks out the light from the Sun. We will only see a partial eclipse in Georgia, but you can still witness a partial eclipse with your special eclipse glasses.

Weather permitting, bring your picnic blankets and we will watch the progression of the eclipse on the back lawn of the library. That is where you can pick up your glasses during the event.

Eclipse glasses will only be given out during the viewing party. They will not be available to pick up prior to the program. One pair of glasses per person. Glasses will be given out on a first come, first serve basis. We will only see a partial eclipse in the Metro Atlanta Area. Totality for our area will be at 3:04 pm.
