Judge Schuster serves on the Superior Court of the Cobb Judicial Circuit.  He was elected in 2004 and began service on January 1, 2005.  Judge Schuster was elected by the other judges to serve a term as chief judge. 

Judge Schuster has served as a Judge of the Juvenile Court of Cobb County.  He was elected by the other judges to serve a term as presiding judge.

Judge Schuster began his career as a prosecutor in both the State and Superior Courts of Cobb County.  He practiced law in a Marietta firm that bore his name.  The practice focused on business, family law and litigation matters. 

Judge Schuster is a graduate of Tulane University with a degree in economics.  He graduated and received his J.D. degree from the University of Georgia School of Law.

Judge Schuster is a member of the State Bar of Georgia.  He served on the Board of Governors for 14 years and has been a member of numerous committees including finance, disciplinary rules, and bench and bar.  Judge Schuster chaired a special committee tasked with writing proposed legislation for e-discovery.

Judge Schuster is a member of the Cobb County Bar Association.  He is a past president of the organization.

Judge Schuster is a founding member of the American College of Business Court Judges.  He has served as president of the organization.

Judge Schuster is active in the Business Law section of the American Bar Association. He has served as the Chair of the Dispute Resolution Committee and Chair of The Judges Initiative Committee.

Judge Schuster’s interest is in establishing and promoting effective and transparent courts, understanding issues of e-discovery and moving forward with focused civil litigation. He is a proponent of the use of Alternative Dispute Resolution in resolving issues that arise in complex civil cases.

Judge Schuster speaks frequently on legal topics, including e-discovery, civil litigation, corporate law, trial practice, family law and ethics.
