Kristin Poland graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. from Kennesaw State University in 2009.  In 2014, Kristin graduated magna cum laude from Georgia State University College of Law.  While in law school, Kristin served as a research assistant for Professor Mary Radford, focusing on trusts, estates, and guardianships and conservatorships. 

Kristin worked for the General Counsel’s Office of the State Bar of Georgia from 2007 through 2014, where she dealt with ethics complaints and resulting disciplinary actions against attorneys across the state.  Upon graduation from law school in 2014, Kristin concentrated on estate planning and elder law until beginning her role at the Cobb County Probate Court in April 2016. 

Kristin is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Fiduciary Section, the Elder Law Section, and the Cobb County Bar Association.  Kristin currently serves as a member and Editor Emeritus for the Editorial Board for the Georgia Bar Journal, having served as Editor in Chief from 2019 through 2021.
