There are plans for a drive-through testing facility at Jim R. Miller Park for COVID-19.  This facility will NOT be open to the general public. Cobb & Douglas Public Health officials released the following statement late Monday:

Cobb & Douglas Public Health is working with federal, state and local partners to expand COVID-19 (i.e., coronavirus) testing rapidly in our community. This week, we are finalizing plans to offer drive-through testing ONLY for our highest risk individuals, who,  if they had the virus, would dramatically impact many individuals in the entire community (e.g., healthcare workers, first responders, teachers, nursing home residents). Georgia Public Health guidelines are being finalized and we are expecting shipments of test kits to our community. COVID-19 TESTING WILL NOT BE PROVIDED TO THE GENERAL COMMUNITY AT THIS TIME.

If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 (e.g., fever, cough, shortness of breath) or have been directly exposed to a person who has tested positive for COVID-19, please isolate at home.  If your condition worsens, call your primary care doctor, an urgent care clinic, your local federally qualified healthcare center or in extreme cases, call 911. Please do not show up unannounced at an emergency room or health care facility.

The State of Georgia also has a new COVID-19 hotline for more information  - Hotline: (844) 442-2681.
