Visitors coming to the Cobb Government Building near the Marietta Square will notice new security procedures starting Monday, February 4th.  Non-county employees will need to enter the building through the second-floor entrance off Cherokee Street.

Officers from Cobb County Police and deputies from the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office will be manning the security checkpoint to screen people coming in.  The security checkpoint will also be operated during night and evening meetings and events at the 100 Cherokee Street building.

This building will join others in the downtown Marietta government complex that already have these security measures in place.
