Cobb Elections handled more than 7600 voters during the first day of Advance Voting.  The lines were long at various points throughout the day and moved slower than expected because a large number of voters who showed up in person had already applied for an absentee ballot.  Workers had to cancel out those 1386 absentee ballot applications before the voter could head to the machines.

Many of those who had applied to vote absentee were worried they had not yet received their ballots, others had simply changed their minds.

If you have concerns about the status of your absentee ballot status, you can use the tracking website at https://georgia.ballottrax.net/voter/ to get an update.
There are 16 secured locations across Cobb County where you can drop off your absentee ballot rather than using the mail.  Location Map:  https://bit.ly/3358PAn
