The Super Bowl weekend turned out to be a record-setter at the Cobb International Airport.  The airport saw 900 arrivals and takeoffs at McCollum Field, by far the busiest period in the airport's history.  A hospitality suite set up at the airport also hosted hundreds of flight crews and VIP's in town for the big game.
When most of those aircraft left, they carried an informational packet about Cobb County including contacts for business leaders and news about opportunities.
The Cumberland area was also a beehive of activity.  The Galleria Centre hosted the "Taste of the NFL," the only NFL-sanctioned event outside of Atlanta.  The Battery Atlanta also hosted a series of Super Bowl-related events.
Cobb County's Emergency Operations Center was open for much of the weekend, but despite the crowds and traffic, few problems were reported.
