Cobb Chairwoman Lisa Cupid led the vote to elect the Atlanta-Region Transit Link Authority board member for District 3 this week at the State Capitol.

The ATL is a state entity created in 2018 to coordinate transit planning and funding within the 13-county metro Atlanta area. Eligible electors for this vote included any state senator or representative whose district is included in whole or part within Transit District 3, as well as Cobb County Chair Lisa Cupid, DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond, Fulton County Chair Robb Pitts, Gwinnett County Chair Nicole Love Hendrickson, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, and Brookhaven Mayor John Ernst, who was selected by a caucus of mayors in the district to participate in this process.

Fulton Chair Robb Pitts was elected and will serve a four-year term, expiring on April 15, 2025.
