Chairman Mike Boyce Attends “Connect Douglas” Kickoff
Released: June 21, 2019

Transit service to connect with CobbLinc to give passengers a link to Cobb locations

Douglasville, GA -- Cobb Commission Chairman Mike Boyce, Transit Manager Andrea Foard, and others with Cobb County attended the ceremony marking the formal start of Douglas County’s fixed-route bus service.  Douglas’ service will link up with a CobbLinc route, providing riders with the ability to get to SunTrust Park and locations in Atlanta.

The Chairman of the Douglas County Board of Commissioners thanked Chairman Boyce for helping make this new service a reality.

“Without the help of Chairman Boyce to allow our service to connect with CobbLinc, we could not be able to provide the enhanced opportunities for the public to attend Atlanta Braves Baseball games at SunTrust Park or travel to other destinations in the City of Atlanta,” said Chairman Romona Jackson Jones.

“I am so excited for Douglas County but more importantly for Dr. Romona Jackson Jones. She’s inspirational,” Boyce said. “She had a vision and she had the conviction to follow through on it and the people of Douglas County and Cobb County are going to benefit for her efforts. I know Cobb County had a small part to play in its success.”
