The polls are closed. The Board of Elections and Registration held a brief meeting where they heard approximately 403,300 voters cast ballots in this election, including 85,400 today.

​​​​​​​With registered voter figures minus inactive voters, that's about a 78.5% turnout.
Nov 5 - 5 pm
Cobb County has received more than 1,300 absentee ballots at its main election headquarters since Saturday. Until 7 p.m., those with absentee ballots can drop them off at 995 Roswell Street.
Nov 5 - 2 pm
This is the first election Cobb County has opened its Emergency Operations Center.   Representatives from the Sheriff's Office, Cobb Police and Fire, ITS, local city police, and others can gather in one place to monitor activities at polling locations and respond quickly to problems.   So far, no significant incidents have been reported, but the EOC will remain open into the evening.

Nov 5 - 1 pm
A judge has issued an order to keep two precincts open until 7:20 pm tonight after they opened late due to equipment problems.
Nov 5  - 11 am
Voters have experienced few lines and little waiting at Cobb's 148 precincts today.  Many precincts had lines waiting outside at the 7 a.m. opening, but they quickly dispersed.

Nov 4 - 415 pm
The Georgia Supreme Court has issued a ruling that STAYS the extension of allowing absentee ballots to be received and counted after election day.  All absentee ballots are now due in by 7 p.m. Tuesday in order to be counted.  Voters concerned about their absentee ballot status are encouraged to vote at their assigned precinct Tuesday if they are able to do so.
Nov 2 - Noon
Cobb's turnout topped 60% at the end of the Advance Voting period.  292,821 voters have cast ballots for a 60.3% turnout rate.
Nov 1 - 6 pm
A Cobb County Judge has issued an order allowing absentee ballots mailed after Oct. 30 to be received and counted by Friday, Nov. 8.
Nov 1 - Noon
Voting is unavailable on November 2, 3, and 4. However, the hours for returning absentee ballots are expanding. This is ONLY at the Elections Office at 995 Roswell St., Marietta
  • Saturday 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Sunday 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Monday 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Nov. 1 - 10 am
Advance Voting ends today at 7 p.m.  56.2% of Cobb's registered voters have cast ballots through Thursday.
Oct. 31 - 7 pm

  • On Election Day, November 5, 2024, voters MUST go to their assigned polling location, which will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • For personalized precinct information, please visit the My Voter Page.
  • For more information on voting by mail, visit the Absentee Voting page or call 770-528-2581.
  • Advance Voting generally begins 21 days before Election Day or as soon as possible for runoffs.
  • To vote in person, you must show one of 6 types of Photo ID.
  • Ballots cannot be removed from the voting room.
