Atlanta Humane Society: The Atlanta Humane Society is a no-kill shelter providing sheltering and adoption, veterinary care, and community outreach to the Atlanta Metro.
Cherokee County Humane Society: For almost fifty years, CHS has rescued thousands of felines and canines from shelters, euthanasia, and cruel, uncaring owners. Furkids: Furkids operates the largest cage-free, no-kill shelter in the Southeast for rescued cats and Sadie’s Place, a no-kill shelter for dogs. Furkids also operates one of the only facilities in the Southeast dedicated to the care of FIV positive cats. The Furkids mission is to rescue homeless animals, provide them with the best medical care and nurturing environment while working to find them a forever home. Homeless Pets: The Homeless Pets Foundation is dedicated to saving the lives of cats and dogs that have run out of time at public shelters. We utilize social networks, host adoption events, and place pets in loving foster homes until their forever families are found.

Cat rescues
Cat Rangers: CatRangers has rescued over 6000 cats and kittens and placed them in loving homes, provided medical care for countless others, and assisted many families in feeding and caring for their furry family members. This includes many seniors and special needs kitties who would truly have no other place to go. That’s why CatRangers was founded as the 'Special Forces' of cat rescue. Fancy Feline Rescue of the South: Small rescue organization with a big heart for the "Fancy Feline" breeds – particularly Persian, Himalayan, Exotic, Ragdoll, Birman, Maine Coon, Siamese, Sphynx, and other CFA- and TICA-recognized breeds and mixes. Kitty Angel Rescue: PLEASE RECONSIDER! There are many resources available to help you keep your pet! Purr Nation: Rescue run by dedicated people who volunteer their personal time to find loving forever homes for unwanted and neglected cats. Dog rescues
Alcovy Pet Rescue: Founded in 2005, we are Georgia state-licensed all-breed rescue. We are a group of volunteers who have united together for the sole purpose of saving homeless, unwanted, and abused animals. All animals are examined by our veterinarians, microchipped, and given all their necessary vaccines, including rabies. All of our animals will be spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Dobermans
Georgia Doberman Rescue: Dedicated to rescuing and re-homing abandoned or homeless Doberman Pinschers from shelters or owners who have surrendered them. By working with volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and trainers, we are able to place these dogs in loving temporary homes for assessment and rehabilitation, and then into carefully screened forever homes. We are an educational resource for the Doberman owner, and provide information on responsible pet ownership, good nutrition, positive behavioral training and the importance of spaying and neutering pets. Releashed Rescue (Husky/Malmutes only): Dedicated to rescuing huskies and other working dogs from high-kill shelters, rehabilitating those that need training and rehoming them into permanent loving homes. Releashed Rescue will provide food, shelter, basic necessities, medical treatment including shots and spay or neuter, and work to train any animal going through our program.
